12 Days Of Christmas - Day 2

Hi Guys! Hope you are all doing great. For Day two, I paired my sequin top with  tailored corduroy pants, and this fab new purse, gifted to me by Gidan Nodza and the Blog is here! You all have to check her out, all her handbags her made with 100% genuine leather and they are handmade! Best part is they are so neatly finished you would think they were machine made and to top it all,  they are very chic and trendy. Day two's outfit would be great both for day and evening events, I love how relaxed and comfy the outfit is.

My ideal pant for this top would be a black penciled leather pant but since I do not own any at the moment this was the best fit from my wardrobe. I'm again rocking my current fav sandals, I love how versatile this sandal is, it goes practically with almost anything!

12 Days Of Christmas - Day 1

Hey Guys! hope your week is going well so far. How excited are you that its Christmas? it feels like the year just started a few days ago and suddenly its Christmas already! Christmas is by far my favourite time of the year and some of my favourite things about this joyful season are,

-Listening to the carols- I'm not talking about the modern day type of carol, nah! my thing is the old school Jim Reeves, James Last and the likes. These songs bring back great childhood memories of Christmas.

- Beautiful decoration - Growing up, I was usually the first one to push for the tree to be assembled and the decoration started, usually by the 1st of December! which was not usually the norm in those days. Those colourful lights and pretty decoration have a way of brightening up the home and cheering even the gloomiest of moods.

- The Family get together - Some of my fond memories of Christmas was waking up early on Christmas morning to take part in the Xmas day cooking, which most times would end at about noon because there's usually so much to cook to cater for the numerous loved ones and friends that would turn up that day for the big feast.

- The Partying and Festivities -This is a time when there is an endless list of events to attend! for some reason a lot of people schedule their weddings for this time of the year, then there is the office parties, school parties, beach parties, shows and concerts, I like to attend rhythm unplugged, Praise Jam and the likes (Both Nigerian musical concerts). Its no wonder this joyous season is called the the party season! What are your favourite things about Christmas? Please share :).

To usher in this year's party season, for the next 12 days I'll be doing a Christmas themed outfit posts to get us all into the party mood. I would try to feature outfit for most occasions, and hopefully you'll get some fashion inspiration for the numerous event you plan on attending. A good number of the outfits are still available for sale at the Shop so hurry up before they run out. Most of the outfits can either be dressed up or down depending on your preference and the occasion. I love sparkly outfits for Christmas so this is mostly the way I would be rocking mine.

Viva Madiba!!! + Vlisco's "Eko For Show"

Hello World! Hope you had a great weekend and you are positively  hyped and ready for the new week. I'm feeling super hyped and positive about this week for a couple reasons, first of all, I  just got back from a successful trip, restocking for the Christmas collection and can't wait to share with you some of the fabulous new additions to the shop. Secondly, I have been in a slight reflective mood since I learnt of Madiba's death, its a reminder of how fleeting life is and how it is very important to stay positive and live a life that is impactful. Obviously we can't all achieve the kind of influence he had, but I believe everyone on earth was created for a purpose and we all have a sphere of influence where we can touch lives positively. I also believe we are co- creators with God of our experience on earth, and we can either choose to glide through life aimlessly or live a productive and impactful life, and everyday we are alive is an opportunity to make this choice.

On to today's post, which is actually long overdue because I attended this event about a month ago. The event was a fashion collaboration between 'Vlisco' the Ankara fabric manufacturer and the designer 'House of Jasmine', to launch Vlisco's 4th quarter collection titled "Eko for Show". It was another opportunity for Vlisco to present yet another fabulous Nigerian talent and showcase some of the creative wonders that can be achieved with the Ankara fabric. Mainly Vlisco's Ankara fabrics were used with accents of silk, satin and lace to create these elegant and contemporary pieces. Here are a few of the Ankara looks I was loving that evening.

Oyinda Ogunsanwo Creative Director of house of Jasmine, Ankara insets on denim....love it!

Eye on the skirt in the middle pix and I love his all animal print outfit!
I love his pink tee on pink jacket and the loafers

What I'm wearing -  Dress  - Tahari ASL  (Similar available @ Dressed| | Shirt - Charles Tyrwhitt || Pumps  -Via Spiga  and Nine west (Similar available @ Dressed|| Necklace - Nordstrom|| Bag - Old

Hello World! Hope you are all doing great. Today's post is a quick one, It feels great  to be back to regular blogging even though it would probably just be a few posts before I get back to the Christmas themed post for the store, I intend to savor this short spell :).

Today's outfit reminds me of  Nigerian school uniforms, amazing where the inspirations come from in fashion right?  In this post i'm wearing a shirt underneath a dress, I pretty much just rolled up the sleeves of the shirt, and paired with a necklace and two different coloured pumps.Wearing a shirt underneath a sleeveless dress is great way to make a dress more versatile and an easy way to work around the problem of exposed arms if that's a concern.

Hope you like, got to run, catch you soon!
