iFind

One of the things I do is to source for beautiful and trendy fashion pieces for my women's fashion store also called ' Dressed'.
On my September trip to the US, these were some of the fab pieces of accessories I found and would definitely be rocking on this blog, a girl can never have too much accessories.

Drum roll!!!!!!

This beautiful butterfly ring comes in red and black as well

These rings are some of my favorite finds, they are made by a designer called Jan Michaels check here for more info.  They are so beautifully crafted they are the perfect statement pieces; they are made of brass, precious and semi precious stones so they have a chic vintage look to die for.

The best part is I got very good deals for them, which means great deals for my clients too.

I also got this fab, earrings from Guess and Ralph Lauren.

Oh! how i love these long necklaces, they just glam up an outfit instantly and that's what i love about accessories, with the right kind an outfit can go from zero to hero.

I got the necklace below from JcPenny, i was already on my way out of the store when I saw this on their ad campaign, I did a double take and a quick u-turn.

These are just a few of the items available at 'Dressed', stock is limited so inbox asap if you are interested in any.

Food I Love - Apple Tuna Sandwich

That's how I like my tea or coffee, massive cup

One of my favourite thing to eat for breakfast these days is the Apple Tuna Sandwich, I like it because it is simple with no frills,  easy to make, packed with nutrients and super tasty.

I got the recipe from my chef friend, Uche of the popular 'Uche can cook', I have since adapted it to suit my preference and its a winner any day.

These are the Ingredients you would need to make 3 large sandwiches

2 med sized Apple
3 large fresh Tomato
12 slices of Bread ( you can use wholewheat if you like)
A bunch of fresh Lettuce
A can of Tuna in oil
A can of sweetcorn (Optional)
      Mayonnaise
      black pepper
          1. Peel and slice apples thinly
          2. Drain off oil from tuna add the apples and a pinch of pepper, mayo and sweet corn
    3. Spread a layer of the Mayo apple on plain bread

         4. Add another layer of lettuce and tomato
         5. Then a final layer of  apple tuna
6.brown both sides of sandwich in a pan with very little butter and cut across

So the 3 layers would be

A.      Tuna and apple and sweetcorn
B.      Lettuce and tomatoes
C.      Tuna and apple and sweetcorn

uche's is prettier than this lol!

As simple as it looks, it can be cut into tiny cocktail sizes and held together with cocktail sticks or put in a press and served as finger food or an appetizer and it would make a big impression because it is tre delicious.

Recent Addition:  The photos below were added after this post, they look a lot prettier, I have just 2 layers in the photos and it was done with whole wheat bread because I have since gone on a diet. Hope you like the it?

Tried it?  let me know what you did differently and how it came out.

Have a great weekend

Midi skirt and white jacket

I love the midi skirt of this season for so many reasons one of which is,  It doesn't have the drama of the maxi or the risque of the mini yet it manages to be sexy in a subtle restrained way.  these qualities make it appropriate to go from church to board room meetings. Mine is penciled and high waisted with a classic 70's style slit for added drama.

What I'm wearing: Jacket - Zara ||  Shirt - Ralph Lauren || Skirt - River island || Shoes - Anne Klein|| Bag - Gucci || Rings - Nordstrom || Sunnies Guess

Have a great weekend and stay fashionable

Wedding Saturday - Omo B and Muyi

Nigeria weddings usually culminates with the white/church wedding on a Saturday, these are some photos I took at my friends white wedding.

Check here for the traditional wedding.

Wedding ceremonies in Nigeria is a long drawn event that happens in stages and can sometimes take months, the various stages of the events differ from one part of the country to the other.

The first stage of the whole process in most cases is the introduction of the two families because we believe marriage is a union of two families. The two most important events that are open to everyone is usually the tradition marriage and the white/church wedding.  This is not a lecture on Nigeria wedding just giving the background to the links to the previous post.

Sneaking shoots away from public view, pardon me, I'm stilling building my confidence in taking photos in full public view.
