Hello world! being that this blog was originally supposed to be about fashion, food and music and I have been slacking with respect to the food and music bit of the bargain mostly because I'm getting a bigger buzz from doing fashion posts for now. That is not to say that fashion is a bigger passion of mine, I have just decided to go with the flow and write about anything that inspire me, and that my friend is food today, :)
One of my absolute favourite thing to do in the morning is to have a good cup of tea laced with some nice coffee, if that comes with this sandwich, then I'm in breakfast heaven. I have said on this blog before that though I'm trying to lose some weight, my diet permits me to eat everything, yes! absolutely everything as long as I watch my portions and where possible find healthier substitutes for the ingredients. I still have my triple threat sandwich for breakfast, which by the way is my favourite and most important meal of the day, and its the recipe I'll be sharing today.
Disclaimer :): Photos in this post were taken before I changed my eating habit, These days I substitute Mayo with white wine vinaigrette.
Ingredients (Makes 2 large sandwiches)
6 rashers of Bacon
4 slices of salami
1 large boneless, skinless Chicken breast
2 large Eggs
A bunch of lettuce
2 tbs of Mayonnaise ( here I used Ranch dressing)
3 large Tomatoes
6 slices of square sandwich bread
Soy sauce
Black pepper
Any chicken seasoning you fancy
Soy sauce

Direction
1. Grill bacon and salami on a grill or in a hot pan for about 30 sec on both sides
2. Add a dash of soy sauce to eggs, and fry, omelette style, sunny side up.
3.Cut up chicken breast into about half an inch strips, season it ( I like to use Mexican seasoning and blackpepper) and saute in a pan with just a teaspoon of oil.
4. Allow chicken to cool and add the mayo ( In my case wine vinaigrette)
To build the sandwich layers
5. Spread
mayo chicken mix on the first layer of bread,
6. The next layer of bread will contain the omelette, some lettuce and tomatoes
and the last layer would have the bacon and
salami, You can also add some cheddar to this
layer.
So your layers would be
a. chicken and mayo mix
b. Tomatoes, Lettuce and Omelette
c. Bacon and Salami
Finally you can brown both sides of the sandwich in an oiled hot pan or a griddle then cut out the edges and across each sandwich and hold the sandwich in the middle with cocktail sticks
Tried it? let me know what you did differently and how it came out.
